I Flip For Food was started by Angela in January of '10. Less than a month later, the two of us were writing it together and what was born as a little food journal for Angela and her friends soon became a slightly less little food blog with a slightly less little audience. A few hundred posts and a big move from D.C. to Los Angeles later and we're still at it.
The blog's design, pictures and writing may have improved since its inception, but the reason we do it remains the same. We love making, eating, and discussing food. Through this little blog, we've been fortunate to discover an enormous community of people who are as passionate and curious about food as we are. We've become better cooks, discovered meals we would've otherwise missed, and met literally hundreds of amazing people (many have even become close friends) all because of this little blog. We're grateful for every one whose taken the time to check it out, and all those who've spent time engaging with us and making this fun.

Angela
When she's not cooking or eating, this little attorney enjoys working out and watching TV (she's as prone to watch a 'Top Chef' marathon as she is to run in one). She doesn't believe in sleep or drinking water. Instead her body runs on a strange fuel of comic books, sriracha and Law & Order reruns. Her dream is to one day start a farm that offers refuge to Pugs - whose eyes are prone to popping out of their heads - by providing them with goggles to protect their eyes from rolling around on the floor. She will call these Poggles and you'll wish you had thought of this lucrative invention when she's blowing her nose with million dollar bills. Don't get any funny ideas... that Poggles patent is pending.
Mark
Mark grew up in Vermont. Started college in Philadelphia before finishing his degree in Ohio. He spent his early twenties in Chicago, had a stop over in D.C. and now happily resides in sunny Los Angeles. He has a degree in film and writes screenplays. He wasn't always an adventurous eater, growing up gastronomically sheltered and could be considered, as his parents used to say, 'picky'. But after an awakening to good food in his 20's, he considers every meal to be making up for lost time. While he leaves most of the cooking to Angela, he makes his own ice cream and brews his own beer. He's a big fan the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Cheesesteaks. His favorite color is Jazzberry Jam.
